Revised block exemption regulation and guidelines

On 16 April 2026, the Commission adopted a revised version of the Technology Transfer Block Exemption Regulation (TTBER) and of the Technology Transfer Guidelines (Guidelines). The revised TTBER will enter into force on 1 May 2026 replacing the version of the Regulation adopted in 2014.

2014 version of the block exemption regulation and guidelines

Until 30 April 2026, the version of the TTBER and Guidelines adopted in 2014 will continue to be applicable:
