Documents sent by registered post or by means of hand delivery
DG Competition’s Madou building in Brussels will be closed during our public holidays from 23 December 2024 until 02 January 2025. The building will in addition remain closed on Friday 3 January. The hand delivery of documents or other materials for cases to the Madou building will not be possible during that period.
Documents sent by registered post or by means of hand delivery should be addressed to the Commission’s DG Competition at the address below. Addressing documents to other Commission services may result in delays.

Security procedures for delivery by hand:
Hand deliveries must be made on working days during the opening hours mentioned above. Working days are all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and Commission holidays as published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
- Prior to delivery, at Place Madou / Madouplein 1, the law firm or the legal representative of the notifying company must call the Merger Registry at +32 2 296.55.77.
- An estimated delivery time and the name of the individual from the firm or company who will be making the delivery must be provided along with a description of the items to be delivered (number of envelopes, packages or boxes).
- Packages and envelopes to be submitted must clearly indicate the name of the office delivering the filing.
- The Registry will confirm receipt of the items delivered.
