The Technology Transfer Block Exemption Regulation (“TTBER”) exempts certain technology transfer agreements from Article 101(1) of the Treaty. The TTBER entered into force on 1 May 2026 and will expire on 30 April 2038:
- Commission Regulation (EU) 2026/877 on the application of Article 101(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to categories of technology transfer agreements (TTBER)

Together with the TTBER, the Commission adopted Guidelines on the application of Article 101 of the Treaty to technology transfer agreements:
- Communication from the Commission — Guidelines on the application of Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to technology transfer agreements (Technology Transfer Guidelines)
